One of the most important experiences an artist can have is when their art speaks to an another individual in a positive way. One might say it completes the circle of creativity. The artists who are members in The Healing Power of ART & ARTISTS online art gallery have a desire to create a positive, healing impact on others. Their art has attracted praise, awards, and accolades, as you will read when you visit their pages. Curious to know how they react to positive comments about their art, I recently asked our artist members to share praise they have received that meant the most to them. It is a pleasure to present this featured article “Artist Members Share Praise They Have Received About Their Art”.

Julia Underwood
Praise I received after creating a custom painting for an Austrian customer: “Your amazing painting arrived! It’s so beautiful that we spent hours watching it. It comes to a perfect special place 🙂 When I wake up I see your wonderful painting. I’ve never seen such a captivating painting that’s so inspiring. Thank you Jules, I am really so happy with your work. You are a very special artist, thank you for painting me this picture, we’re completely satisfied. Meant so much as we successfully negotiated multiple complex ideas translated between English to German.” It makes me really happy to exceed customer expectations.
Dorit Brauer
Art buyer Erin Orga said this about my painting “Secret Destination”: “My heart and face smile every day when I walk into my office and see your painting on my wall!” The painting “Secret Destination” is inspired by the Martin Buber quote: “All journeys have a secret destination of which the traveler in unaware.”

Andre Chatelain
“Andre Chatelain created this illuminating painting ‘Living the Present Moment and Feeling the Peace’. I love his careful choice of the pose of his subject and the warm colors and sun-filled yellow background, filled with optimism. Andre is known for his masterful painting techniques and his steadfast sensitivity and passion for Africa, humanity and history. He has won many awards including an Award of Excellence in ‘The Spirit of Resilience’ exhibition.” This quote from Renee Phillips Curator, Founder, Director, Editor of Manhattan Arts International is one of my favorites. Life is good! Thank You Renee.

Andrea Robinson
From a collector: “I feel privileged to be the owner of Andrea’s artworks, including her masterpiece ‘Wakahuia’. I love the colour, cultural significance and symbolism in her works which depict New Zealand landscapes, taonga, flora and fauna. She utilises the beauty in her artwork to convey important and poignant messages on environmental concerns, climate change and protection of our wildlife, in a subtle and understated way. I love that her works have this underlying meaning and significance. Andrea is a remarkably gifted artist, and the consummate professional to deal with. I cannot endorse her and her work more highly.”
Agnes Jorgensen
I am grateful for all the words of praise, awards, testimonials I have received from curated art exhibitions, galleries, museums, art buyers and organizations over the years. They have helped validate my creative expression and growth as an artist. I chose these words of praise from Renee Philips to describe my artwork beautifully: “Deeply felt human emotion is expressed by Agnes Jorgensen in her figurative oil paintings. She combines Old Master techniques with a contemporary narrative style with a compelling use of symbolism, poetry and harmony.”

Roopa Dudley
“Some paintings are politically inspired and are like bolts of fire.” – Audrey Hoffer, Washington Post Magazine, November 8th, 2020. “Love your work. I’m a chess player & have made several chess related drawings & paintings as well as thousands of oyster shell art pieces. Your art is very colorful, symbolic and well made. I like it!” – Eric H. Roberge, Artist/Chess Lover, Annapolis, MD. “I can recognize Roopa’s art among thousands of paintings by hundreds of Artists” – Dr. Reena Rizvi M.D., Harrisonburg, VA
Karen Johnston
A favorite sentiment from Alive Hospice… “I must admit that I was skeptical that displaying art could be anything more than a minor distraction in any healthcare setting, especially one like ours where people are regularly dealing with loss. I was quickly convinced of the power of your work the moment we started hanging it. Everyone who passed noted a lift in their mood and stopped to share their feelings with us. I hear similar stories all the time. Thank you so much for brightening our space with your work. It has been a wonderful gift to our families.”
Beth Sheridan
“I opened it yesterday it’s amazing thank you sooooo much” — this comment by Greg Nicotero of Walking Dead fame.
