Artist’s Statement: “Most of my paintings originate from my subconscious. I try to tell a story with the paintings I create. My purpose is to give a visual voice to Abstract Concepts and Dreams. The game of life is represented through chess pieces exploring dreams, ideas and concepts that cannot be expressed through words alone. I use symbolism and saturated colors to capture the intensity, to provoke the senses and to delight the intellect.”

Thank you for such an amazing write-up about what I do, Renee. When I am painting, I feel free. Our first amendment gives me that right as an artist to taste exactly that kind of freedom of expression. Free to explore places that only exist in my mind. It has been one heck of an amazing decade as a Chess Painter.
