Artist’s Statement: “My goal through art is to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. Mood and rhythm are important influences. Through color and light I create a mood expressing the feeling of warmth, healing, and joy. When the viewers are observing my paintings, I want them to be moved by the beauty and intricate detail of the natural world. If I can inspire one person to look at our earth differently, especially reverently, then I will have succeeded as an artist. When I juxtapose complementary colors, they “sing”, heightening my senses and quickening my blood. I and others forget our pain. Our lives are enhanced because color heals.”
