Sandra Belitza-Vazquez’s Artist’s Statement: “I share my excitement and joy on my worldwide journeys of discovery through my photographs. The varied subject matter focuses our attention on the need to conserve the natural world and appreciate the lives of all that share this planet. The natural world’s colors, textures, and designs, captured in straightforward or abstract renderings, transform them into objects of beauty and fascination. Exploring and capturing the beauty around me deepens my understanding of my place in the world and helps satisfy my curiosity about the world. Through my photography, I want others to experience the same beauty and wonder I see in the world and share in the power of art to heal, soothe and renew one’s spirit.”

Sandra’s work is truly healing! It’s like she has the camera there when the right moment arrives—helping us to understand the world around us! My favorites are her pictures of creatures great and small; but then I love the flowers so much! Whether she’s photographing the wide open prairie or a beautiful sunset beyond a mountain, she sees like no one else!
