HEARTism is a Community Center in Corvallis, Montana and we have been offering programs in the arts for almost 10 years for families of youth with autism and with other special needs. We have weekly art, music & music therapy classes, as well as a young adult group that gets together for visiting along with art and other activities, based on their interests. In addition, we partner with a dance instructor for special movement classes that culminate in a recital for families and friends. It is very joyful. Here is our mission statement:
OUR MISSION – The mission of HEARTism Community Center is to provide education and socialization for children with special needs through exploration of the arts — music, dance, creative movement, yoga, a variety of activities and life skills — while supporting and educating parents and families

I’d like to add the Threshold Choir, a world wide network of choral singers who use their voices and songs when invited in service at the bedsides of people who are dying. For 22 years now the Threshold Choir has sung with and for all people. We know that music has the potential to be a healing power and can be an instrument for peace and justice.
